In circumstances where a bereaved family may request that a specific
condolence message be removed from AtRest.ie, this request should be made
through the Funeral Director who published the death notice on their behalf.
Yes, to proceed with the publication of a death notice, we require
confirmation of the death prior to its announcement. Acceptable forms of proof
include:

conducted the funeral, or an email confirming that they conducted the funeral.
The fee for a directly published death notice is €25 (including VAT)

photograph of the deceased person that you want to appear on the death notice,
you may add additional photographs to be included in the photo gallery
on the death notice.
2. We will email you a draft of the death notice for your approval
3. After we receive your approval we will issue an invoice to you for payment online.
4. Upon receipt of the payment, the notice will be published.
By becoming a registered user of AtRest.ie, when you create an alert on a death notice you will be informed by email when funeral arrangements have been updated, as in the case of *Funeral arrangements later* or there have been changes to the previously published arrangements. In addition, you will also receive email notifications when family notices are published in the future that relate to that particular death notice.
The facility to send a Condolence message on AtRest.ie is available for 6 weeks from the date that the death notice was first published, after that time condolence messages are “Read Only”.
We currently do not offer the facility to make donations directly through our website. Funeral Directors often publish links to charities in death notices on behalf of bereaved families, these links allow you to make donations directly to the chosen charity. We have a list of Charities in our useful information section, this listing contains the contact details and website addresses of various charities you may wish to support.
